(St. Charles, MO) – Once a criminal, always a criminal?
Dr. Howard Wall from the Hammond Institute for Free Enterprise explains why it’s in everyone’s best interest to help offenders succeed after serving their time.
However, instead of pushing for another government program, Wall says entrepreneurship may offer many offenders a better chance. Considering how many employers won’t hire felons, Wall argues that breaking down regulatory barriers to self employment should be part of the discussion. He promotes a Missouri-based event on February 9th designed to support just that approach.
Also, liberal political commentator Mark Kasen and conservative radio talk show host & columnist Stacy Washington spar over some of the top issues impacting Missouri at this point.
