(St. Charles, MO) – It’s one of the most contentious debates in the state right now and it’s not Republican-versus-Democrat.
It’s often urban and suburban versus rural.
Charter schools are only allowed in Kansas City and St. Louis right now but some lawmakers want to allow other parts of the state to have that option.
State Rep. Nate Walker (R) doesn’t like that idea and explains why.
Dr. Doug Thamen from the Missouri Charter Public School Association hopes lawmakers will make that option available statewide.
