Audio – Missouri Journalists Write Book to Help Tornado Victims

The deadly storm is long gone, but the rebuilding effort continues and you can be a part of it. All you have to do is go online.

K-O-M-U-T-V news anchor Jim Riek (reek) from Columbia and W-D-A-F-T-V meteorologist Michelle Bogowith from Kansas City teamed up to write a book about their coverage of the 2011 Joplin tornado.

On “Missouri Viewpoints”, Riek explains why the authors aren’t making any money off the project.

Riek Tornado-2                                 trt: 16                                    oc: or underinsured

The book is called “Joplin: Our Words, Our Stories, Their Hope” and it’s available as an e-book on Amazon now.
