AUDIO SOUND BITE: AFP-MO Says “Right To Work” Is Good Economic Policy For MO

It may be the most contentious debate at our state capitol right now. Supporters call it “Right To Work” and opponents call it union busting and you may decide whether it becomes the law here in Missouri.

If passed, “Right To Work” would ban employers from making union membership, or paying dues to unions, a condition of employment.

The idea has plenty of support among Republican lawmakers but Governor Nixon would likely veto the bill if it were sent to his desk. That’s why Republicans are considering a plan to put the proposal on the ballot later this year.
