AUDIO SOUND BITE: Former State Budget Director Calls GOP Tax Cut Plan Bad for Middle Class in Missouri

Taxes are a great deal for everyone, right? Maybe not.

That’s former state Budget Director Jim Moody, talking about House Bill 253 on “Missouri Viewpoints”. Moody is urging state lawmakers to uphold Governor Nixon’s veto of that plan that would gradually reduce personal and business income taxes over several years.

Supporters of the idea say it will make Missouri more attractive to employers and that will mean more jobs in the state.

The annual veto session begins next Wednesday (Sept. 11).
