When it comes to public pensions, that could impact your wallet. The Show Me Institute’s Rick Edlund cites research published by the group earlier this year when saying the state government is guilty of what he calls “pretend accounting.”

The pension funds for state and local government workers are an estimated 11-billion dollars behind in funding.
