AUDIO SOUNDBITE: BBB Says Financial Scams Are Becoming Harder To Spot

You’ve probably figured it out by now: that guy who sends the email offering to give you a lot of money if you’ll just let him transfer his inheritance from another country into your account…he’s not real and it’s a scam.

While most everyone has caught up to that trick, the Better Business Bureau’s Tracy Hardgrove doesn’t want us to let our guard down.

That’s from “Missouri Viewpoints.” Hardgrove warns about emails that look like they are from your bank, investment broker or even the government. If they ask for personal or financial information in the email, it’s a scam. She says call your financial institution directly if you have any questions.
