Is a life for a life justice? Opponents of capital punishment want Missouri to stop executions altogether.

The state recently put Herbert Smulls to death as a result of his conviction in a 1991 robbery-murder in Chesterfield. St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch’s office handled that case.

He says executions should be rare but are sometimes necessary.

That’s from “Missouri Viewpoints”. Smulls’ death was the third execution in the state since November.
